The Iron Mountain Jubilee is a challenging but very doable and enjoyable mountain endurance ride. You will be riding primarily the Virginia Highlands Horse Trail and the Iron Mountain Trail with several connecting trails. Terrain is mountainous with several long climbs interspersed with level areas for moving out. Footing ranges from good to rocky. Hoof protection required for the 50/55/75 mi distances and highly recommended for the LD. All vet checks will be in camp, except for the 75 which will have one away vet check. Water will be available but it is hauled in so please come with your water tanks full and conserve. | Iron Mountain Jubilee Endurance Ride and Ride & Tie Sanctioned by AERC, SEERA, ECTRA, SEDRA, R&T Assoc Friday, August 28, 2026, Intro/25/50 mile endurance rides and assorted Ride & Tie distances (TBD) Saturday August 29, 2026- 30/55 mile endurance rides and assorted Ride & Tie distances. Hi Folks, We are looking forward to seeing you at the 2026 Iron Mountain Jubilee Endurance Ride and Ride & Tie!!! We have lots of options for you this year so pick your distance and be prepared to have fun!!!
We will have an intro distance each day (11 or 14 mi) so you can dip your feet into the sport or introduce a young horse to endurance (4yrs and older). Friday will be a 25/50 and Saturday we will have 25/55/75 mile distance endurance rides. Ride & Tie will have several distances that will be determined closer to the ride depending on what folks want. We are super excited about our new 75 mile distance that will hopefully encourage folks to step up to a longer distance and prepare for a 100 one day. We have a great course laid out for you to enjoy and our volunteers will take care of you along the way to see you through!!!
Sunday we will, once again, have an Equathon (riding loop and a running loop, either with a team member or solo). Stick around and try your hand at Equathon. Should be finished up by noon so you can still make it home in good time.
